Give me an opinion of this card. I like the contrast of the black, white and red, but something seems to be missing.

This card is using the Always stamp set. I stamped the Whisper White strips with Basic Black ink, punched out the Basic Black circles, added rub ons to them and put the thing together! I was thinking about using this for my workshop- and the more I look at it the more I like it!

My first entry to Beate's challenge. I must say it was easier to make the card and more of a challenge to get it in the computer! I was so excited to use some new things from the catalog!

I started with Bliss Blue card stock stamped the swirls on the back ground then traced with the gel pen so it would show up better. Next, I stamped the heart with Basic Black on glossy white card stock and did a crayon resist technique. I layered that onto Wild Wasabi, cut out with my new Cuttlebug. (thanks Santa!) I added Wild Wasabi double stitched ribbon. Then I added the felt flowers, Ice rhinestone brads, and a square of Purely Pomegranate with a rub on from Eastern Elegance pack.

I was thinking about a new way to use this blog, and am going to try to make a 'good idea' link. It seems that I try and read about things related to kids, home, food..., and want to share my knowledge (that is the teacher in me). For example, it has just come to my attention that my youngest son has a bad reaction to stuff that has red coloring in it. I noticed that he was exceptionally mean one week. It seemed everyone was fussing and I got blamed for some ridiculous things...,. The only difference I noticed was that he has started adding a 'red' colored drink mix to his water. I asked him to stop drinking those things, and he was no longer mean. It could have been a coincidence, except that he had a "wild berry" pop tart the other day, and he had the same mean reaction. I am going to limit his red dye intake- or forbid it all together. Did you know this could happen? Does your child sometime have adverse reactions to things he/she eats?

One More for today. I love these frogs and wanted to use them for a Valentine. Then I remembered my new Cutterbug embossing template. I thought it was kind of warty looking.... Anyway, I like the results- warts and all!

I am frustrated by the quality of my photos. I try flash, no flash, different light, but the cards look totally different when they are loaded into the computer. This papaer is Close to Cocoa- it look purple to me!? Any tips are appreciated.

Playing around with Valentines ideas. This is copied from a card I saw a long time ago. I changed the colors and paper and came up with a fun card. You could do this with any theme or colors. I will do this on in the workshop this week.

Happy New Year! Time to get creative again. I am itching for the kids to get back to school so we can get back to a routine.

Spent a little free time today stamping some ideas for my next workshop. This one turned out well- after a lot of tinkering!

The big surprise on this card is the scalloped edge. I made it with the Pick a Petal stamp set. I stamped them close together then cut it out! I think it makes a fun border!
